KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of selling to many small and large fleets with a preference for electronic products or consumables.
  • You will be adept at identifying and closing opportunities for both long- and short-term opportunities and contract/asset sales.
  • Value creation in terms of acquiring new deals and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Must be fully conversant with IT and creation of reports/spreadsheets where required.
  • Experienced with managing & delivery of medium/large projects.
  • Candidates must have a full UK current driving licence.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • As a motivated self-starter, you will play a leading role in setting, agreeing and delivering area sales objectives, through target customer acquisition, individual negotiations, lead conversions and ongoing review of the area sales performance.
  • Reporting to the Sales Director, you will give regular feedback and market intelligence on customer, competitor and industry activity, offering ideas for further promoting our business interests in your area and
  • All described sales activities must be documented daily.

Application Engineer

The Position

As the Application Engineer, you will be working as a bridge between customers, sales and engineering teams, using customer input and sales information to test and implement hardware and software applications.

You will also provide technical support and expertise to customers, as well as testing applications, responding to customer feedback, assisting with product installations and providing customers with ongoing technical support from application start-up through the warranty period.

This support includes responding to customer queries, providing updated software to allow smooth and efficient integrations through the development period, performing installations for customers and working with the customer service team. In order to implement effective applications, you must acquire and analyse customer needs and limitations, making recommendations to the engineering team to satisfy needs and develop effective solutions.

Technical Requirements

  • Specific experience working with CAN bus (Controller Area Network) based products.
  • Experience with usage and test of RF Systems (Sub-1GHz, Bluetooth).
  • Familiarity with software protocols (433MHz/CAN/J1939).

Other

Candidates must have a full UK current driving licence.

Telematics & OEM Sales Manager

Due to rapidly increasing market growth, our innovative and expanding global company is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and ambitious Telematics & OEM Sales Manager. A competitive salary package is on offer.

The Position

The Telematics & OEM Sales Manager will have the ability to coordinate with our technical team on all levels of integration needed for selling into Telematics and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customers. The role will require an end-to-end approach from initial promotion through to project management of protocols, documents and ongoing customer support.

The successful candidate will have a proven success in sales as well as a passion for new technology. You will enjoy developing and nurturing existing relationships as well as growing your sales portfolio with consistent new business sales generation. Ideally you will have experience of the vehicle safety market/telematics or equivalent, with existing customer relationships in the appropriate sectors.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining existing customer accounts and growing new customer opportunities within the vehicle OEM and telematics markets.
  • Devise and implement strategies for meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Manage the full sales process from prospect to close.
  • Quickly develop an in-depth knowledge of the company’s telematics and vehicle safety products.
  • Prepare and deliver confident customer presentations/demonstrations of the product range across a variety of business sectors.
